Annual Report and Financial Statements: April 2022 – March 2023

The year 2022-23 was a huge one for our organisation. This impact-focused year began with the See My Skills Gala in May 2022, where high profile speakers helped to raise awareness of inclusivity in the workplace, as well as a tremendous £100,000 for the projects we support.

Then, in November, the issue of blind and partially sighted people’s experiences of domestic abuse was brought to light by the shocking findings of our ground-breaking report, The Unseen, which was launched at the Houses of Parliament.

We finished the year with the sector-changing news that Vision Foundation and Fight for Sight would be merging to form one organisation, the goal of which was and is nothing short of changing the world for blind and visually impaired people.

Annual Report and Financial Statements: April 2021 – March 2022

Over the last year we have celebrated our 100th birthday, an important
milestone for any organisation and, for us, one that was set against a
turbulent pandemic backdrop.

This has only renewed our ambition for all blind and partially sighted
people – now and for generations to come – and our resolve that all
people, regardless of sight loss, be treated fairly and equitably, with
opportunities to contribute and thrive in society.
