My Prudential RideLondon

In a parallel world, the eighth edition of Prudential RideLondon would be fast approaching. The event – the world’s greatest festival of cycling – was due to take place on the weekend of 15 and 16 August 2020. But the coronavirus pandemic means that so many events – raising such important funds – can’t go ahead in their traditional forms this year.

Thanks to technology, the Prudential RideLondon will go ahead virtually and you can still take part!

Whether it be on a bike – or tandem, skateboard, scooter, trike, balance bike, penny farthing, unicycle, roller skates – the Vision Foundation needs your help. It’s never been more important to come together and show how much we care about blind and partially sighted people.

How do I get involved?

No need to be an avid cycler to take part – this is a free fundraising challenge for all ages and abilities. Simply register your chosen distance, pick your own route, set up a fundraising page and complete your ride on the weekend of 15 and 16 August 2020.

There are four challenges to choose from, all based on the traditional Prudential RideLondon weekend event distances:

  • My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 miles
  • My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46 miles
  • My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 19 miles
  • My Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle (Pick your own distance!)

In the week before the event, all registrants will have access to the My Prudential RideLondon app, which will help you compare your route to the world-famous RideLondon routes and enable your friends and family to view your progress remotely during your ride.

Once you have completed your challenge, you will be able to download a personalised certificate, selfie frames so you can create your own finishers photos, and crucially, you will have helped to change lives and save sight.
